A Path Cut by Time and Rain

'A Path Cut by Time and Rain' is my abstract interpretation of the serene beauty of kayaking through the more secluded, untouched corners of France. It is a highly textured painting and changes throughout the day as shadows cast onto the texture change.

Varnish: The painting is finished with two contrasting varnishes for a striking effect, the blue ‘water’ is coated in a high-gloss varnish, giving it a beautifully wet look, while the ‘land’ areas have a soft, subtle sheen.
