Collector Stories
Every painting I make eventually leaves the studio, and what I love most is hearing what happens next. Which wall it found, how the afternoon light catches the gold leaf, why a particular stretch of water still holds someone's attention months later. The words on this page come from the people who took that step, in homes and in a City of London workplace.
I am grateful to each of them for taking the time to write, and for letting me share their words here. If you are wondering what it is like to buy a painting from me, or to commission one, this page is the honest answer.

Commission. Colour and texture for the meeting room.
“Stunning works that really bring our meeting room to life by adding colour and texture. Annette worked so closely, ensuring all our needs were met. She is a joy to work with.”

A world of uninhibited plants and greenery
The Rambling Rose Garden
"This painting is so very full of the feel of an overgrown garden with rambling roses. My garden is much the same, so this lovely work of art wonderfully complements the sun dappled triffid chaos outside my window. It takes me into a world of uninhibited plants and greenery of which I have lost control! So nice to have this painting so near the real thing."
Ethereal Autumn Stream
"I just love your wonderful painting of plants growing so close to the water they almost obscure it. And that lovely little fish. It is difficult to tell whether it is swimming through the undergrowth or through the water! I have a pond much like this, so I was immediately drawn to your painting. The fish is almost camouflaged in its flooded forest. The colour scheme is most attractive, and I have colour matched it to the background and to the things around it."

About the paintings
A collector bought The Rambling Rose Garden and came back for a second painting two months later. She wrote these words two years on, with both still hanging in her home.

The right home for it
"I recently purchased a painting from Annette and it is amazing. Annette has taken the time to ensure I am happy with the painting and I would happily buy another piece. She is very talented and it is nice to be supporting independent artists."
