The Inspiration

These original paintings are part of a series of abstract paintings I am working on, which explore water in British woodlands and forests. The paintings are inspired by the interaction of water with woodland elements such as plants, mud and rock. Light, reflections and the movement of water are also important.

About the Paintings

These paintings were painted with acrylic paints on 300gsm watercolour paper, then varnished for lasting protection. Some feature a touch of gold-leaf detail.
