About the painting:
The Shimmering Glade was inspired by foliage and woodland flowers emerging in a sunlit clearing within the forest and the beauty and movement of water winding between the trees during springtime. It is warm and vibrant.
I combined soft, flowing brushstrokes with the sharper, textured marks of palette knives to suggest, in an abstract form, my interpretation of water flowing through a shimmering glade.
