The Daily

These abstracts are small paintings that I create to experiment with different ideas, techniques and materials. They are a visual diary of abstract ideas which I hope you will enjoy.

Crimson Wash

Mixed media;

  • Acrylic paint
  • Fern leaves
  • Sand
  • Wood base approx 13cm x 25cm

The following series of paintings, which I will post over the next few days, were inspired by walks through local woodlands and the fractal beauty of ferns. Woodlands are magical and sometimes feel mystical to me and these paintings attempt to capture that feeling and the way that exploring woodlands and forests can be so calming and meditative.
