Chromatic collision is another painting on stretched canvas, kind of following yesterday's theme of creating a spacy, galaxy look using fluid art techniques. I love the spirals of paint, where two or more different coloured paints have wrapped themselves around each other while flying through the air, as I 'threw' them onto the canvas.
To achieve those spirals I lay paint along the length of a pallet knife then added another colour on top - sometimes piling 3 or 4 colours on top of each other, before flicking or throwing the paint onto the canvas. The different coloured paints twisted like child's candy, before hitting the canvas and I really love this stripy effect. Look for the stripes to see what I mean.
