Dark Safari Stroll

When the sun goes down, the woods come alive with a different kind of beauty. Exploring them after dark is an adventure that few people take on. A nocturnal stroll in the woods can feel like being on safari, exciting and calming at the same time. I really love venturing into the woods at night, it’s an opportunity to observe wildlife and appreciate nature's subtle nuances that are often missed during daytime hours. And the sounds of hidden animal life can be quite startling.

Check out The Daily Abstract

During 2022 I posted an abstract painting every day to The Daily Abstract blog.

These little paintings were an excellent opportunity to play with different techniques, styles, materials and colours and to explore and plan compositions for larger work.

After one year and 365 daily paintings, this project is complete.
